1) Pre-assemble the right and left scraper arms with the spring inserted into the arm slots.

2) Do not drill any new holes, place the tabs of one arm into the scraper mounting holes and stretch the assemble under the planter opener frame to the other scraper mounting holes.

3) Slide scraper arm into place with both tabs securely inserted in old scraper mounting holes.

5) Pry the arms out approximately 3/4" and slide the Air Design scrapers onto the arms as shown in figure 4.

6) Insert scraper arm bent end into oblong slot in Air Design scraper.

7) Release scraper arm and allow spring tension to hold the Air Design scraper against the planter disk. (Be sure that the carbide edge is parallel with the disk and that you have good spring tension.)

8) Installation is now complete.(NOTE CAUTION BELOW !)

Caution: When assembly is complete raise the planter depth control wheel all the way up to insure clearance between the scraper and the depth control arm. If more clearance is required please note figure 5. Some cast material needs to be removed. Grind 1/4" into casting with 4" grinder as shown. Test for clearance again. If the arm strikes the scraper in the field, damage may occur to the scraper arm and the whole assembly may be lost or damaged beyond use.
